Welcome to the Mountain Ridge Athletics Program

The Mountain Ridge Middle School athletics program is founded on the belief that educational-based athletics play a vital role in fostering lifelong learning and personal growth. We view sports not simply as competition or games, but as powerful tools to teach responsibility, teamwork, perseverance, and integrity. Through participation in educational-based athletics, students learn to set goals, overcome challenges, and develop resilience—skills that extend far beyond the playing field and into every aspect of life. Our coaches support character development and academic achievement alongside athletic performance, ensuring that students grow as both students and athletes. By emphasizing effort, respect, and leadership, our program aims to prepare students not only for future competition, but for success in school and in life.
The Mountain Ridge Middle School athletics program is designed to welcome and support ALL students, whether they are trying a sport for the first time or have years of experience. For the 2024-2025 school year, 60% of Mountain Ridge students participated in at least one school sport with 30% of our students participating in two or more sports.
