Athletics FAQ

• $95 per sport

• Equipment/Uniforms - Student/athletes will be checked out a uniform/jersey. All uniforms should be washed in cold water, but never put in the dryer. Always air-dry jerseys. All jerseys should be turned back into the coaches at the end of the sport's season. If jerseys are lost or not returned to the school, you will be responsible for paying for a replacement jersey. Mouth guards are required to play flag football.

• No, your physical is good for one calendar year. The physical must be current until the end of the sport season.

• If you are unable to get an appointment with your primary care doctor, consider utilizing walk-in clinics such as King Soopers, Walgreens, etc.

• No, we welcome and support ALL students, whether they are trying a sport for the first time or have years of experience. All sports have different levels of teams (A, B, and C) which compete against other middle schools corresponding team levels, with the exception of Cross Country and Track which do not have levels. Coaches use the first week of practice to assess the team level (A, B, and C) most appropriate for student skill level. 

• Practices start at 2:50pm and end at 4:30pm Mon-Fri during the season.

• No, parents are responsible for transportation to and from away games. 

If a student has a "U" in Work Habits, the student will be ineligible for the 1st competition of the following week. For example, if a student was ineligible and there are 2 competitions for the following week, the student would only miss the first of the two competitions the following week.
