Technology Agreement and Device Use Rules

Every year we ask students and parents to read and sign a technology agreement. The technology agreement is designed to ensure a safe and effective learning environment by outlining the responsibilities and expectations for using school-provided technology. For parents, it provides a clear understanding of how technology will be integrated into their child's education, emphasizing safety, appropriate use, and the importance of digital citizenship. For students, the agreement helps them recognize their role in maintaining the integrity of the school's technological resources, encourages responsible behavior online, and promotes the development of skills necessary for navigating the digital world responsibly. By signing the agreement, both parents and students commit to supporting a positive, respectful, and secure use of technology in the educational setting.

Something New...

This year, students participated in a Technology Use Expectation lesson where they learned about the responsible use of all school technology, including Chromebooksdesktops, and our network. Key topics covered were digital citizenshiponline safetyprotecting personal information, and device care.

Students completed a short quiz to confirm understanding, which serves as their agreement to follow all MRMS technology rules. These expectations are also detailed in the DCSD Code of Conduct and the MRMS Student Technology Agreement.
