MRMS DCSD Track & Field Champions
A huge congratulations goes out to our Track & Field team for an incredible accomplishment on Friday night at the DCSD district championships. The team brought home their 3rd consecutive overall team championship and completed the THREE-PEAT!
What an outstanding reflection of the hard work, dedication, and competitive spirit of our student-athletes and coaches.
We are proud of the way they represented Mountain Ridge!

MRMS Talent Show
The Talent show returns on Thursday, May 28th. We hope to see a variety of ACTS/talents. Think... Jugglers, magicians, improv, singing, dancing, break dancing, music on water filled glasses you get the idea.
If interested students should fill out this Google Form to express their idea.
Auditions will be held on Monday, May 11th during ELT.

The annual art exhibition of the Douglas County School District highlighted the creative endeavors of remarkable student artists. Congratulations to our four winners in the art show! There were many wonderful pieces this year and a lot of competition. I'm so proud of our students for standing out among the rest!!

Mountain Ridge Middle School is excited to welcome incoming 6th and 7th graders for the 2026–2027 school year! Our New Beginnings program helps students transition to middle school by introducing procedures, expectations, and new connections.
Sessions are available:
- 6th grade: July 27–28
- 7th grade: August 3–4
- Times: 8:00–11:00 a.m. or 12:00–3:00 p.m.
Families can choose a morning or afternoon session using the sign-up links provided.

Our counselors recently visited our feeder elementary schools to meet incoming students and share this video, hosted by our amazing Peer Counselors, to give you a real look at life at Mountain Ridge. From clubs, sports, electives, lunch, and core classes to transition supports like Bounce and New Beginnings, this video is designed to help answer questions, calm nerves, and show you that middle school doesn’t have to be scary. You’ll also meet some of our staff and learn an important truth: everyone has awkward middle school moments, even adults. We’re excited to welcome our newest Rams and can’t wait to see you next year!

If your student is open-enrolled or coming from a non-feeder school to MRMS, information regarding electives and registration will be sent via email in late January to early February.
