Clubs

 CLUB INFORMATION:

From year to year there are always opportunities for new clubs. Student initiated clubs require a minimum of 10 students and an adult in the building to sponsor the club. All fees and paperwork are required to be completed online.

Please pay for all activities online through MySchoolBucks.

Debate Club:

Pretty much every teen loves to argue, right?  Debate club is the perfect way to channel those powers for good instead of evil!  Students will learn a form of parliamentary style debate in after school practices culminating in a tournament where teachers and parents are welcome to attend.  Stop by room 241 on Mondays to check it out and contact Ms. Sprigg for more information!

INTERACT CLUB:

Do you want to help change the world? If you answered "yes", then Interact Club is for you. Interact Club is a community service club at Mountain Ridge that provides many opportunities for students to give back to those in need. "Service Above Self" is our motto and we love working together to make a difference.

If you have questions please see Mrs. Beckett or Mrs. Hepworth!

Running Club:

As soon as the regular Cross Country season ends on September 10th, athletes are able to join us for post-season training in preparation for the Colorado Middle School State XC Championship, Saturday, October 22, 2022. This more competitive club trains a few days a week and runs in various invitationals around the state. Each invitational is an additional fee on top of the $30 club fee. Running Club is generally a step-up from Cross Country and it is helpful to complete the XC season first. Athletes will need a current physical.

TO DO: Read this info letter. Then, when you register for RC, please complete this form so we can register for races!

Email Karen Sprafke and Tanya Twete for details.

MOUNTAIN BIKING CLUB:

Please click here for the 2022-23 club info!

It's our 17th year! Ride for fun, climb easily, and enjoy the trails while riding the Backcountry trails and East/West Trails around Mountain Ridge Middle School with our Mountain Bike Club.

If you like to mountain bike or be outdoors this is a great chance to do both at once! Be part of the bike club this fall to improve your riding skills and enjoy the great outdoors. You will improve your bike handling skills, fitness level, bike maintenance skills, and get to know others who like to ride.

We will be riding on Mondays.

The Mountain Bike Club is open to any student with a current physical on file with MRMS, a bike helmet, water bottle, and bike.
